窦德盛，字秦汉、林泉，斋号朝雨轩。 大篆文化传承者—窦德盛，华夏大篆文化研究院院长。
Dou Desheng, the president of Hua Xia Great Seal Script Research Institute, was born in 1949. His style name, also known as courtesy name, is Qin Han or Lin Quan. In 1982 Dou graduated from Xi’anAcademy of Fine Arts.He was taught by Chinese famous painters andcalligraphers such as Zhang Xisheng, He Haixia, Liu Wenxi, Chen Zhongzhi, Ma Yun, Zhan Hanand Ma Landing etc.In December 2003, Dou’s exclusive personal Great Seal Script Works Show was successfully held in Beijing Rong Bao Zhai (Chinese Old Trademark). His show works were officially collected by Rong Bao Zhai, The National Museum of China,The First Archives of China, Collections of the Palace Museum, Great Hall of the People, Zhong Nan Hai and Mausoleum of Mao Zedong etc. In 2006, Dou created a 4 meters long couplet anda same size work of Olympic 35 sports symbols. Both of these two works collected by B.O.C.O.G (The Beijing Organizing Committee of Olympic Games). In 2007, Dou was asked by B.O.C.O.G to create 20 pieces Tang dynasty poetry works ingreat seal scriptstyle to give to presidents of other countries and VIPs as national presents. Another giftwhich was specially created for I.O.C (Intentional Olympic Committee) is an object of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games commemoration.
In 21stJan 2008, the International Edition of People’s Daily used whole page to introduce Dou Desheng as the inheriting person of Great Seal Script culture to the world. At the same year, Dou had his personal Great Seal Script Show in C.P.P.C.C (the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference) Hall in Beijing. Most of his show works were collected by lots of well-known organizations in Beijing. In October 2008, B.O.C.O.G(The Beijing Organizing Committee of Olympic Games) awarded Gold Award, Special Contribution Award and granted Official Collection Certificate to Dou Desheng.In September 2009, Dou was invited by Japan – China Friendship Association, the Calligraphers’ Association of Japan and Japan International Calligraphers’ Association to visit Japan for academic exchange. In October 2010, Dou was also invited by U.N to attend the U.N 65 anniversary establishment activities in Geneva. In the meantime, Dou visited the general headquarter of I.O.C in Lausanne, Switzerland by their invitation. Dou has also experienced a warm reception from the Mayor of Paris. Another super large size couplet, which has 4 meters length, was created by Dou in 2010. This was specially made for the World Expo 2010 Shanghai China and this is collected by Mr. Jiang Yicheng who is also well known as “the father of world expo”. In 21st January 2011, Dou contributed 20 pieces Great Seal Script works as national presents and a 4 meters long couplet to International Horticultural Exposition 2011 Xi’an China.
